SENSEI DENIS CORDEIRO
Montreal Kanreikai Karate - Tel: 514-998-1546

Sensei Denis Cordeiro, 4th dan, started training with Hanshi Manny Matias when he was only six years old. As he grew up, even though he lived and trained mostly in Quebec (Canada), he kept close to Hanshi Manny and visited him regularly in Connecticut to perfect his technique. Hence he followed Hanshi Manny Matias when he left the Kyokushinkai Karate Organization to join the newly founded World Oyama Karate Organization lead by the Great Master Shigeru Oyama.
In May 1998, Soshu Shigeru Oyama officially inaugurated Sensei Denis's dojo in Montreal's West Island (Canada). Since then, Sensei Denis has been teaching karate to an ever increasing number of students, several of them having reached the Black belt level.
In July 2004, as Soshu Shigeru Oyama closed his New York dojo and stepped down as director of the organization, Sensei Denis worked with his long-standing instructor Hanshi Manny Matias and Sensei Robert Underhill to start the World Kanreikai Karate Organization.
Sensei Denis' achievements are many, as a fighter, a teacher, a trainer, and as the founder of the annual YUKAN Ultimate Karate Championship in Montreal (Canada). Sensei Denis is an excellent business strategist and he owns and operates an auto mechanics center, Autotech Performance. As Director and co-founder of World Kanreikai Karate, he has been essential to the development of the organization worldwide.
At World Kanreikai Karate, everyone trains hard and reaches beyond one's limits in karate and in everyday life. This philosophy is perfectly illustrated by the way Sensei Denis leads his students, promote his organization and acts in life.
